Eric Hassell & Son Ltd. prides itself on providing efficient and reliable services to ship owners, charterers, shippers and receivers. Eric Hassell & Son Ltd. handles about 400 vessel calls per annum.

	These vessels vary from bulk size vessels of more than 150m in length with grain, steel, cement and pipes to the inter-island vessels of less than 50m in length.  These vessels ply the Caribbean waters with fresh agricultural products and manufactured products.
	A major component of being able to efficiently represent bulk carriers is the ability to provide stevedoring services.  From its inception 35 years ago, Eric Hassell & Son Ltd. has been one of only a handful of local companies holding a stevedoring license at the Bridgetown Port.

	Stevedoring is provided by a labour gang.  A gang consists of six persons whose duties are to ensure that the cargo is properly and safely stored on the ship.

One of the hallmarks of its stevedoring service is the excellent relationships which are maintained between the company and all port agencies.
